Root of the problem: suppressing orthodox worshippers

There are varied reasons as to why so many parishes and dioceses are failing. As Michael Brown explains in his excellent article, "...the more frequent problem is the suppressing of orthodox worshippers, as if they are misfits, when in fact they compose the majority of those attending daily Mass. If their devotions are antiquated and of so little use, one must ask why special graces are so often attached to them."

One of the devotions deemed "antiquated" by the elitist types who occupy positions of power in many parishes and dioceses is the Holy Rosary. I've often encountered resistance while trying to introduce a Rosary group at various parishes. And when I attempted to get a Marian Movement of Priests Cenacle listed in The Catholic Free Press [Diocese of Worcester], I encountered more of the same hostility [albeit covered with a very thin veneer of "politeness"].

Orthodox Catholics with a serious devotion to Our Lady will continue to meet with such hostility from "intellectual" types who believe in their own intellectual prowess more than they do the intercessory power of the Mother of God.

Just as Moses led the Jewish People out of Egypt, Our Blessed Mother is leading her remnant through the tribulation and Apostasy. Don't expect most parishes, which have succumbed to pride and modernism, to accept you if you are an orthodox Catholic consecrated to Our Lady. The modernists have nothing but contempt for us.

Why? St. Louis de Montfort explains:

"It is chiefly in reference to these last wicked persecutions of the devil, daily increasing until the advent of the reign of anti- Christ, that we should understand that first and well-known prophecy and curse of God uttered against the serpent in the garden of paradise. It is opportune to explain it here for the glory of the Blessed Virgin, the salvation of her children and the confusion of the devil. "I will place enmities between you and the woman, between your race and her race; she will crush your head and you will lie in wait for her heel" (Gen. 3:15).

God has established only one enmity - but it is an irreconcilable one - which will last and even go on increasing to the end of time. That enmity is between Mary, his worthy Mother, and the devil, between the children and the servants of the Blessed Virgin and the children and followers of Lucifer." - True Devotion to Mary, 51, 52.

I've written my "pastor" on several occasions regarding dissent. My letters were always ignored. The Diocese of Worcester is disintegrating because while orthodox Catholics are "persona non grata," people such as James B. Nickoloff, Associate Professor of Religious Studies at the College of Holy Cross, are welcome. This even though he promotes homosexuality and same-sex "marriage."

The Worcester Diocese is in crisis and coming unglued because it has been unfaithful in so many ways.

I know I don't feel welcome at my parish in Worcester. Our parish is way too liberal. We have to watch EWTN for orthodox preaching and there isn't any rosary group or eucharistic adoration. I am totally unhappy with the way we are treated. I'm bored with the homilies which offer nothing more than pop psychology and childish jokes.

We need priests like Father Corapi and Father Pacwa. It is no big surprise to me that parishes are emptying. Our diocese lacks faith. No doubt many have left because there is about as much warmth in some parishes as you would find in a concentration camp.

The Church should be more than just "cliques" where only a chosen "few" can participate. I just don't feel like our diocese is family.
